The House of Stuart or Stewart was a royal house of the Kingdom of Scotland, later also of the Kingdom of England, and finally of the Kingdom of Great Britain. Mary Queen of Scots adopted the French spelling Stuart while in France to ensure that the Scots Stewart was pronounced correctly. The name itself originates from the ancient hereditary Scottish title High Steward of Scotland.    The Jacobite Risings were a series of uprisings, rebellions, and wars in the British Isles occurring between 1688 and 1746. The uprisings were aimed at restoring James VII of Scotland and II of England, and later his descendants of the House of Stuart, to the throne after he was deposed by Parliament during the Glorious Revolution.    The House of Hanover (the Hanoverians) is a German royal dynasty which has ruled the Duchy of Braunschweig-Lüneburg, the Kingdom of Hanover and the Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. It succeeded the House of Stuart as monarchs of Great Britain in 1714.

The Battle of Culloden (April 16, 1746) was the final clash between the French-supported Jacobites and the Hanoverians (The British) in the 1745 Jacobite Rising. It was the last battle to be fought on mainland Britain. Culloden brought the Jacobite cause—to restore the House of Stuart to the throne of Great Britain—to a decisive defeat.    Ghosts of Culloden sung by Isla Grant. The Battle of Culloden (April 16th 1746), was the final clash between the Jacobites and the Hanoverians in the 1745 rising    Late medieval genealogies show Clan MacLachlan to be descended from Niall of The Nine Hostages who was said to be High King of Ireland in the 5th centuary

Celtic art is ornamental, avoiding straight lines and only occasionally using symmetry, without the imitation of nature or ideal of beauty central to the classical tradition, but as far as we can understand it often involves complex symbolism.

The Celtic Realm. They are a people who were pushed to the frindges of their domain, conquered by forces stronger than their own. But that's just history's version of events for the Celts. These scrappy, pride-filled, Europeans and their spirited brethern around the world, have held on to their culture, their language and their determination never to be defeated.

       Book of Golden Stories

Book of golden stories,
Days of olden notes,
Now the Autumn leaves are falling,
We'll meet on the edges,
Memories, No regrets,
Now the minstral boy is calling.

But as long as I can see the morning,
In miracles much more than I can say,
It's enough to keep me still believing,
In drifting hearts so far away.

You took me through the pages,
Good happiness is shared,
Lost in a web of changes,
This could be the last dance,
Waltzing in the rain,
"Till the minstral comes to save us.

Yes as long as I can see the morning,
And blossom comes to bud again in Spring,
It's enough to keep me still believing,
Your memory is everything...
